- Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP): TURP is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon removes the inner part of the prostate gland that is blocking urine flow. This procedure is performed through the urethra and requires anesthesia. TURP is a highly effective treatment for BPH, but it may have some risks and side effects. This is the most commonly used procedure for prostate enlargement. There is no need of any cut to be put on the body for the same. We offer monopolar and Bipolar TURP both to our patients.
- Laser Surgery: Laser surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a laser to remove prostate tissue. This procedure may be a good option for men with larger prostates. At Shyam Urosurgical hospitals we were pioneers in greenlight laser prostatectomy in Gujarat and have now adopted newer lasers for this treatment when necessary.
- Open Prostatectomy: Open prostatectomy is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon removes the entire prostate gland through an incision in the abdomen. This procedure is typically reserved for men with very large prostates or who have other complicating factors.
